Chris Canclini - Lead Pastor
I was born in Ukiah, California in 1956.  Although I grew up in a Christian home, God wasn’t the source or answer for my life questions, problems and difficulties.  As a result I looked for answers in all the wrong places.  In 1979 I moved to Modesto, California to study music and the Bible and eventually graduated with my degree in Psychology.  It was in my final year of undergraduate studies I meet my wife Rita at a basketball game with a bag on my head.  (The bag was a college thing, OK?)  We were married a year later.

After spending 20 years in youth ministry in Southern California, the Central Valley of California, Pennsylvania and Washington State, Rita & I along with our four daughters, settled in Northern California where I pastored a small church for 7 years.  It was my first time as a senior pastor and I learned a great deal about who I am, who I am not and my passion for helping others really know and experience the love of God in their lives.

It was during the last year there that God stirred our hearts to start a new church for those who don’t do church.  A church where people who are searching for God can find real answer from the Bible for the questions that life brings.  A church where people are free to be who they are, discover the depth of God’s love for them and apply the Bible’s practical answers to the stuff of life.
